Anyma and LISA unveil Bad Angel with a cinematic video blending CGI, VFX and physical sets ahead of their most-anticipated Coachella show performance.
A Collaboration at the Intersection of Two Worlds
Anyma and LISA join forces on Bad Angel, a collaboration that signals a deliberate step into new creative territory. Released via Interscope Records on 9 April, the track brings together Anyma’s cinematic techno framework with LISA’s globally recognisable vocal presence, creating a hybrid form that moves fluidly between electronic and pop sensibilities.
At a time when genre boundaries continue to dissolve, Bad Angel positions itself within a growing space where electronic music intersects with mainstream culture without fully surrendering its identity. The result is a track that balances tension and accessibility — atmospheric in structure, yet immediate in its vocal delivery.
A Cinematic Vision Extending Beyond Sound
The release is accompanied by a visually ambitious music video directed by Gianluigi Carella, extending the narrative into a fully realised audiovisual experience. Produced by SixTwentySix, the project combines physical set design with CGI and VFX — notably without the use of generative AI — developed by Incendie Films, Joseph Perrette, Antoine Olla and Sarah Park.
Set within a controlled, futuristic environment, the video unfolds as a confrontation between human presence and digital constraint. LISA occupies the centre of this universe, her performance framed by a cybernetic architecture that gradually closes in. What begins as containment evolves into resistance, culminating in a final sequence where she breaks free and confronts an unseen antagonist.
The narrative remains deliberately unresolved, ending on a cliffhanger that mirrors the track’s central themes: identity, control and the fragile boundary between physical and digital existence.

This record lives between worlds. Human and digital, intimate and infinite. LISA was my muse for Bad Angel. Her energy completely shaped the track.

A Convergence of Cultures
With Bad Angel, Anyma and LISA do more than collaborate — they converge two distinct cultural trajectories. One rooted in the experimental edge of electronic music, the other in the global reach of contemporary pop.
The result is not a compromise, but a negotiation. A track that exists in between, drawing strength from both worlds while resisting full alignment with either.
In an industry increasingly defined by hybridisation, Bad Angel stands as a clear signal: the future of electronic music may not lie in preserving boundaries, but in redefining them.

I’ve always loved EDM. Working with Anyma was an opportunity to explore something different. His world is so immersive, you can feel that energy in the music.

A Strategic Step Toward the Mainstream
Bad Angel arrives at a pivotal moment in Anyma’s trajectory. Following the release of Beautiful just days earlier, the track reinforces a broader shift toward more accessible structures while maintaining the visual and conceptual depth that defines his work. For Anyma, the collaboration represents more than a stylistic shift. It reflects an ongoing exploration of duality — a recurring motif throughout his recent work.
That tension is audible throughout the production. Built on a foundation of melodic techno, the track maintains a sense of underlying menace while allowing space for melodic clarity. LISA’s vocal performance introduces a contrasting softness, creating a dynamic that moves between restraint and release.
This evolution reflects a calculated expansion into the American market, where electronic artists increasingly operate at the intersection of festival culture and mainstream visibility. By integrating high-profile vocal collaborations into his sonic universe, Anyma continues to broaden his reach without fully abandoning the aesthetic that established his identity.
It is not his first foray into this territory. Previous collaborations with Ellie Goulding, Grimes and Poppy Baskcomb have already hinted at this direction. Bad Angel, however, represents one of the clearest articulations of that crossover to date.

From Screen to Stage: The ÆDEN Continuum
The release also functions as a prelude to Anyma’s upcoming live schedule, where visual storytelling plays an equally central role. The aesthetic introduced in Bad Angel aligns closely with the evolving universe of ÆDEN, his latest live concept.
Following headline appearances at Coachella on April 10 and 17, the project will travel across a series of international destinations before arriving in Ibiza for a 15-date residency at [UNVRS] from 9 June to 15 September.
Within this context, the music video offers more than a standalone narrative. It provides a glimpse into the visual language that will define these performances — a fusion of digital environments, architectural scale and human presence designed to be experienced in real time.
As with his previous work, the boundary between recorded music and live performance becomes increasingly blurred. Each release feeds into a larger ecosystem, where sound, image and space operate as interconnected elements.
