Innellea unveils “Bounce Music” with an official Heelys partnership, exploring branding, artist identity and creative freedom through satire.

German producer Innellea has released “Bounce Music”, the latest single on his belonging imprint, accompanied by a playful music video introducing an official collaboration with footwear brand Heelys. Released on 31 July, the track extends the creative direction the artist began exploring earlier this year with “Slave To The Hype.”

The video follows Innellea through a fictional “Heely Show Simulator,” where exaggerated corporate language and absurd performance tests parody the growing intersection between artist identity, branding and the music industry. Inspired by his widely shared appearance wearing Heelys during his EDC Las Vegas performance, the collaboration transforms an unexpected on-stage moment into an official partnership.

" I remember when Marco Fumolo and I used to film snowboard videos. (…) We didn’t know what we were doing. we didn’t care either. We just did things because they felt fun in that moment. This felt exactly the same. "

- Innellea

Beyond the humour, Bounce Music reflects a broader shift in Innellea's artistic approach. Where Slave To The Hype questioned the pressure to remain constantly visible in an increasingly digital industry, the new release pushes this reflection further by highlighting the often invisible expectations placed on artists today. Constant output, algorithm-driven visibility, personal branding, touring demands and the need to continuously “perform” beyond the music itself have become integral parts of an artist’s reality. Through irony and self-awareness, Innellea exposes these contradictions while also reclaiming a sense of freedom within them.

That mindset shaped not only the music but also the production itself. Looking back on the filming process, Innellea recalls being reminded of his early years making snowboard videos with filmmaker Marco Fumolo. “No plan, no concept, no pressure. Just us, a camera, too much pizza, stupid ideas and a lot of laughing… We just did things because they felt fun in that moment. This felt exactly the same.” Filmed with a small crew in Portugal, he describes the experience as embracing uncertainty rather than perfection: “No rules, no boxes, no overthinking… it reminded me a lot of making music. Not following structures or expectations, but following a feeling — the only thing that ever really mattered.”

Rather than rejecting the system outright, he chooses to bend it, play with it, and ultimately turn it into a creative tool. Bounce Music therefore becomes both a commentary and a release valve — a way to acknowledge pressure without being defined by it, and to reintroduce humour, spontaneity and imperfection into an environment that often demands the opposite.

" I’ve always loved a bit of sarcasm, and this is exactly that. A little parody of it all. a reminder to myself why i started and maybe an invitation to not take everything so seriously. "

- Innellea

Directed by Marco Fumolo & produced by Marlene Mendes, the music video visually amplifies this concept through a surreal, staged environment that mimics a corporate training simulation. Innellea navigates a series of absurd “tests” and performance scenarios, each one blurring the line between satire and reality. Innellea sees the concept as a deliberate reminder not to lose perspective. “I’ve always loved a bit of sarcasm, and this is exactly that. A little parody of it all… an invitation to not take everything so seriously.”

The aesthetic leans into exaggerated branding tropes, sterile environments and over-structured challenges, reinforcing the idea of artists being evaluated, packaged and optimised. This visual framework not only extends the narrative of the track but also offers a space for interpretation, making the video a key part of the release’s message. Behind-the-scenes imagery from the shoot further reveals the constructed nature of this universe, offering a glimpse into how the concept was brought to life and how performance, humour and critique were carefully intertwined throughout the production process.

Built around a stripped-back, club-focused production, the single also reinforces the evolving identity of belonging, a label increasingly focused on music that balances emotional depth with dancefloor functionality. Underneath the satire, Innellea's message remains straightforward: electronic music is at its strongest when it prioritises shared experience over image.
