Teenage Engineering has introduced the OP-XY, a sequencer, synthesizer, and sampler designed for modern music creators and live performers. Inspired by underground dance culture, this ultra-portable device delivers a raw, deliberate, and highly expressive music-making experience.
At the core of the OP-XY is its 64-step sequencer with 16 programmable tracks, allowing users to stack compositions and manipulate them in real-time using punch-in effects and step components. Its unique ‘brain’ chord progression feature enables seamless transitions between musical ideas without breaking creative flow.
Think of OP‑XY as an ode to pragmatic German design & engineering, built around complete precision without compromising any of the musical playfulness of the device.

With eight synth engines, 24-voice polyphony, and two send effect slots, the OP-XY offers a rich and diverse sound palette. A built-in gyroscope lets users control tracks through movement, adding an interactive performance element.
Crafted from anodized matte black aluminum, the OP-XY is both sleek and durable. Its dual CPU system ensures fast processing, while its multi-out jack allows routing between four separate destinations, including Eurorack, synths, and pedals. USB audio and MIDI support further enhance connectivity.
With its compact form factor and intuitive workflow, the OP-XY is set to be a game-changer for electronic musicians, whether in the studio or on stage.
