Haitian producer Francis Mercier debuts his Solèy residency at Hï Ibiza with 19 Mondays from June 1-October 5, blending Afro house, live percus and dance.

Francis Mercier arrives at Hï Ibiza for nineteen Mondays between 1 June and 5 October, presenting Solèy—a residency conceived as a multicultural sonic ritual drawing from Levantine, African and Caribbean traditions. The appointment marks the Haitian producer's first Ibiza residency, positioning him within the weekly programming of a venue that has held DJ Mag's number one club designation for four consecutive years.

Solèy, meaning sun in Haitian Creole, functions as both concept and community. Mercier's approach synthesizes his biographical trajectory—raised between Haiti and New York, with musical resonance extending across Africa and the Middle East—into a house music framework that prioritizes cultural exchange over regional isolation. His sets unfold as extended journeys rather than peak-focused constructions, building connection through ethnic grooves and broadly accessible energy.

To be able to hold a residency in Ibiza, and most importantly at Hï Ibiza, feels surreal; it feels like a dream come true. It’s also a big cultural statement for me to be able to bring a brand rooted in Caribbean culture, with the sound that it represents, on such a big platform.

- Francis Mercier

The residency format extends beyond conventional DJ performance. Live instrumentation including guitar and djembe, alongside choreographed dance, integrate into each night's structure, translating musical narrative into physical and visual expression. This approach reflects Solèy's broader methodology: the event as immersive experience where sound, movement and cultural signifiers converge.

Since its inception, Solèy has occupied venues including KOKO London, L'Olympia Paris, Ushuaïa Dubai, Zamna Tulum and the Pyramids of Giza, adapting to local contexts while maintaining its foundational identity. Mercier's Deep Root Tribe platform has championed Afro house's global expansion, prioritizing artistic development and cultural authenticity within a genre increasingly subject to commercial reinterpretation. His catalogue—including "Sauti", "Premier Gaou (Nitefreak Remix)" and "Kamili"—has accumulated over 500 million streams, each release reinforcing his commitment to music as cross-cultural dialogue.

I’m really excited to introduce new artists, but also to pay homage to legends and artists that have marked the industry and house scene, especially the Afro house scene. It’s going to be a mix of cultures and a mix of generations. It should be something really exciting that hasn’t been done before, with an incorporation of live musicians and dancers that’ll be something quite special.

- Francis Mercier

The residency introduces a distinct perspective within Hï Ibiza's programming architecture, where The Night League continues to balance established sonic territories with emergent approaches. Mercier's presence on Mondays offers an alternative to Ibiza's predominant sonic frameworks, emphasizing heritage, ritual and communal experience over stylistic homogeneity.

Francis Mercier Presents Solèy positions the dancefloor as meeting point for disparate traditions, where Caribbean roots, African rhythms and Middle Eastern textures coexist within house music's flexible parameters. Mondays at Hï Ibiza now carry a specific cultural proposition—one rooted in exchange, recognition and shared language through movement.

Tickets for Francis Mercier' residency at Hï Ibiza running from 1 June and 5 October are already available on sale now on hiibiza.com.
