The opening of [UNVRS] marks a defining moment not only in Ibiza’s club culture, but in the creative legacy of its architects: Yann and Romain Pissenem. As the minds behind Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza, the brothers have redefined the global club experience over the past decade. With [UNVRS], they bring together the full spectrum of their vision, skill and ambition.
Yann Pissenem’s ability to conceptualise beyond the walls of a club has resulted in a venue that seamlessly fuses high-capacity functionality with curatorial sophistication. Here, the dancefloor is treated not as an afterthought, but as the epicentre. VIP areas have been imagined not only for exclusivity, but with the same design rigour and care afforded to gallery spaces. Every object, every surface, every transition has been considered, ensuring a consistent experience from first step to final beat.
That vision is matched by the work of Romain Pissenem, whose decades of experience in show direction and stage production are embedded into the very structure of the venue. Romain’s influence is most clearly expressed in [UNVRS]’ technical framework: a rig built to host unprecedented live shows and immersive productions. The club’s high-spec roof load capacity, integrated scenic elements and transparent screens allow for nightly scenographic transformations—offering a platform worthy of the world’s most ambitious artists. The partnership with L-Acoustics reinforces this ambition, delivering sonic precision across every inch of the venue.
A Club Rooted in Place, Built for Tomorrow
From the outside, [UNVRS] pays tribute to Ibiza’s architectural heritage. Its design draws from the whitewashed fincas of the Balearics, integrating natural stone and earthy materials to blend into its surroundings. This respect for the local environment is not just aesthetic. It is philosophical.
The venue has been engineered with energy efficiency in mind. Acoustic insulation doubles as thermal insulation, while open-air zones invite natural ventilation. Terraces wrapped in vegetation, hidden rest areas, and panoramic viewing decks all serve to connect clubbers with the island itself—not isolate them from it.
Inside, the story shifts. Spaces are conceived as immersive, shifting environments. Architectural references span brutalism, sci-fi surrealism, retro-futurism and art deco, forming a unique language that feels untethered to any single time or place. The club becomes less of a building, and more of a dreamscape—a space that moves with the music and reacts to its inhabitants.
Engineered with Artists in Mind
At the heart of [UNVRS] is a technical ambition unlike any other. This is a space where intimacy and spectacle coexist, where a modular layout allows for continuous transformation. The roof structure has been purpose-built for high-spec production rigs, enabling a new level of creative freedom for show designers and touring artists.
The lighting system is split across three intelligent layers—functional, architectural, and performative—all controlled via centralised software. Transparent screens and scenic modules allow each event to imprint its own identity on the venue.
The sonic environment is equally refined. Working in collaboration with L-Acoustics, a bespoke sound system has been created to meet the exact needs of the space. The result: an acoustically engineered soundscape where every note is balanced, immersive and felt. Whether at the centre of the dancefloor or on the edge of the terrace, the sonic integrity remains intact.
Bringing [UNVRS] to life has been one of the most intense and emotional journeys of my career. After more than two years of full dedication, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our teams at The Night League and Ushuaïa Entertainment, my partners, and my brother Romain.
A New "Immersive Architecture" VIP experience
If the dancefloor is [UNVRS]’ heart, the VIP is its circulatory system—moving discreetly, wrapping invisibly, offering intimacy without detachment. Designed not as a separate entity, but as a parallel experience, the VIP zones have been integrated directly into the club’s layout.
A sweeping balcony curves in an inverted U above the dancefloor, offering uninterrupted views and a connection to the energy below. Private passages (the "VIP catacombs") allow for seamless movement across areas, while a dedicated open-air terrace provides a moment of calm beneath the stars. Every lounge, every banquette, every bar has been custom-crafted from high-end materials—balancing elegance with utility.
Temperature-controlled service areas ensure drinks are poured at perfect conditions. Seating has been selected for both comfort and design. [UNVRS] doesn’t just cater to VIP guests—it redefines what VIP can mean in a nightlife context.
Fluid Movement, Seamless Experience
As [UNVRS] redefines nightlife with architecture, sound, and immersive design, the journey is as important as the destination, the venue doesn’t ask you to conform to its structure, It reshapes itself around your experience. Beyond exclusivity, the venue is conceived as a space for flow. Guests are encouraged to explore, to wander, to inhabit the space as they wish. From lush garden terraces to sculptural stairways, from intimate corners to monumental main rooms, the club invites interaction without prescription.
[UNVRS] is not simply the next venue from the team behind Ibiza’s top clubs—it is the crystallisation of two complementary creative visions, designed to elevate the island’s nightlife once again and it's not a big risk to bet that this intuition will very soon be embodied by the shows coming this year, starting with Eric Prydz's HOLOSPHERE 2.0 or even David Guetta's new GALACTIC CIRCUS evening.
