Coachella has unveiled Busy P Says Oui, a new documentary premiering exclusively on YouTube. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Joey Garfield, the 10-minute film explores Pedro Winter’s extraordinary journey from managing Daft Punk to founding Ed Banger Records and becoming a global ambassador for house music and the French Touch.
The documentary highlights Winter’s pivotal role in bringing Daft Punk’s legendary 2006 Coachella performance to life, a show that introduced the iconic pyramid stage and redefined electronic music for a U.S. audience. Featuring never-before-seen footage of the duo’s Sahara Tent set and Justice’s festival appearances, the film dives into Winter’s relationship with Coachella and its lasting cultural impact.

“Magic happened,” Winter recalls of the 2006 performance, which transformed festivalgoers into lifelong dance-music devotees. With input from Coachella insiders like Stacey Vee and Sahara Tent visionary Wiley Dailey, the doc reveals how one “oui” turned an ambitious vision into reality.
Shot during Coachella 2024, the project is part of Goldenvoice’s original content initiative. Busy P Says Oui celebrates the power of creative risks and collaboration, capturing the magic of Pedro Winter’s journey and the enduring bond between Coachella and the French Touch movement.
