Renowned for their exceptional ability to create club filling dance anthems, Swedish duo Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman have decided today to emancipate by launching their own label like of several artists of the new generation did recently.
Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman are at the forefront of progressive house music and today see the swedish duo add their name to the – already long – list of new-generation artists launching their labels this year. After Marcus Schossow’ Code Red, Third Party‘ Release Records, or more recently Dannic‘ Fonk Recordings here come the turn of swedish melodic genius duo to launch their own label called “Buce Records“. You surely ask yourself where comes this special name, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman explained the genesis story of this name :
Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman Buce Records’ label logo. 2015
” As much as we tried, we couldn’t find a suitable name for the label. Everything was either already in use or taken somehow. So instead, we began by trying to make the first artwork together with our designers. An ancient warrior on a horse was one of the first ideas we worked towards. The idea looked pretty sick and while having fun with it, it struck us that it looked like Alexander the Great on his horse “Bucephalus”. We started experimenting with the word “Bucephalus” quickly lead to “Buce” and finally “Buce Records”.
Next step was googling for “Buce Records” and our hopes of finding it intact with domains and social media links free was close to zero. The first link on Google showed us and inactive record label called “BUCE RECORDS” with what appeared to be one sole records in 1997. The name of the track : “ROLL THE DICE”. We couldn’t believe what we were reading…
As some of you know, our first official single back in 2012 was also called “ROLL THE DICE”. Was this faith of was just pure coincidence? We don’t know. What we do know is what we have always wanted to do this, and it’s time now ! ” – Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman
Creating some massive tracks throughout 2015 from the monstrous “Payback” with Size Records‘ boss Steve Angello to the big room anthem “Zonk” or acclaimed “Live love die” that took over dance floors everywhere, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman have always put the best of themselves into their music.
Music lovers can expect nothing but the best of progressive & melodic house from the duo on Buce Records; In fact, the first release will probably be the amazing “ Running” featuring legendary us singer Ron Caroll. With this new chapter opened and the several upcoming dancefloor-killers tracks featuring international artists like “Empire” with Tom Staar, “Born At Night” featuring Sirena and others IDs with Yves V or Futuristic Polar Bears, 2016 is set to be another big year for the progressive house trailblazers.
