Multifaceted artist Idris Elba asked swiss DJ & producer Andrea Oliva to remix his last track “Make It Bump” and we thanks him for this genius idea.
London-based artist Idris Elba has focused heavily on his music career in recent months. After remixing Crookers, released a joint track with Fatboy Slim under his namesake alias Norman Cook, he gives today the world a swingin’ tune called “Make It Bump”.
The original was and addictive with underlying rock elements, similar in ways to old-school ’90s Fatboy Slim vibes but by asking the ingenious producer Andrea Oliva, the track changes squarely of dimension and goes from a nice title to listen anytime of the day, to an anthem that transports you on the dance-floor of the biggest underground warehouses.
Based on a heavy looping bass played blend with a 90′ nervous kick, with an epic voice calling “I always wanted to be a DJ, man,” through filters and drums and hovering above it, we are clearly on another level of party. Animated by the sole desire to close his eyes hoping that he never stops, Andrea Oliva is subliming again the excellence and offers another must-have in your music library.
Released on 7Wallace, “Make It Bump” is now available on streaming & download on legal plateforms.
