Avicii’ father to discuss about Mental health Prevention

Following last year’s powerful and moving Avicci tribute by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, International Music Summit will welcome Klas BerglingTim Bergling (Avicii) father who will be discussing the important work the Tim Bergling Foundation will do in supporting people and organisations working in the field of mental illness and suicide prevention.

Mental health campaigner Professor Green (Artist, UK) and esteemed DJ and producer Luciano (Artist, Chile) will discuss on what our industry can do to protect the health of all those that work within it into MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS DEBATE. They will be joined by mental health experts who have been treating some of the industry’s most successful talents, including member and owner of Your Green Room, Clare Scivier, and electronic artist and activist Madame Gandhi, the former drummer for M.I.A.

Zane Lowe, the Grammy-nominated producer and global head of artist relations at Apple Music is one of the most influential names in the music industry today, in a Keynote Interview with IMS co-founder Pete Tong,  the Beats 1 host will share his vision for the future of electronic music on Apple Music.


Diversity as a key focus for International Music Summit

Andreea Magdalina ( founder) will host the opening Keynote Address titled THE FUTURE OF FEMINISM IS MALE – GENDER DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE. The campaign and need for an Inclusion Rider for Electronic Music will be initiated at the event. It will be led by IMS, and the AFEM (Association for Electronic Music).

Resident Advisor will bring together artists, promoters, agents, venue owners and managers including Nicholas Matar (Output, Founder, USA), Keith Riley (Fabric, Founder, UK), Human Rias from MMA (Mixed Munich Arts) in Germany and IMS’s own Pete Tong (IMS /BBC Radio 1, Co-Founder / Broadcaster, UK) on the keynote debate IS CLUB CULTURE HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION? The talks also includes SOPHIE (Artist, UK), Richie Hawtin(Artist, Canada) and Kae Burke (House of Yes, Co-Founder & Creative Director, USA) to explore the current status of the global club scene. will present a number of key discussions, including THE POLITICS OF DANCING, RESTORING COMMUNITY TO THE DANCEFLOOR, INVESTIGATING INTERSECTIONALITY and HOW TO CURATE BALANCED LINE-UPS, which will hold a mirror up against electronic music and encourage honest reflection on what is being done to ensure a balanced industry; featuring input from SAMA’ (Artist, Palestine), Nicole Moudaber (Artist, UK) Kae Burke (House Of Yes, Co-Founder & Creative Director, USA), Mariana Duarte Silva (Village Underground Lisboa, Co-Founder, Portugal), Steven Braines (He.She.They. / The Weird &The Wonderful, Founder, UK) , Mariana Sanchiotene (ADE, Managing Director, Holland), Nadine Artois (Artist / PxssyPalace, UK), Sophia Kearney (The Weird & The Wonderful, CEO, UK), Sarah Chawla (Wild City / Magnetic Fields Festival, Co-Founder/Director, India) and more.

A highly debated issue follows with the future of music formats and STREAMING IN THE DJ BOOTH – THE DEBATE with industry commentators Liz Muirhead (BMAT, VP – Venues, Spain), Heiko Hoffman (Beatport, Director, Label & Artist Relations, Germany), Clark Warner (Dubset Media, VP Artist Relations And Label Services, USA), Rik Parkinson (Pioneer DJ Europe, Product Planning Manager, UK), Jack Bridges (Soundcloud, Senior Manager – Label Relations, UK) plus speakers from Tidal. Continuing the theme will be the annual DIGITAL DEBATE with speakers from all the major DSP platforms.

There will be a range of specially curated keynote addresses and interviews with artists, managers and venue owners including husband and wife partnership Adam Beyer & Ida Engberg (Artists, Sweden), Joseph Capriati (Artist, Italy), plus Grammy and Brit award nominated multi-instrumentalist and producer Jax Jones (Artist, UK) will reveal the secrets behind his two billion streams in a  Point Blank Music School production masterclass.

In addition to the first speakers for 2019, IMS presents the additional big moments that punctuate the start of the Ibiza season including the soon to be announced recipient of the IMS LEGENDS AWARD who will once again be celebrated at an exclusive industry dinner plus the best and most diverse line-up that Ibiza will experience at IMS DALT VILA, the summit closing celebration held at the top of the 2,500 year old UNESCO World Heritage Site.
