Starting at 7PM until 4AM, Defected New Year’s Eve 2022 will welcome UKG legend DJ EZ as headliner, joined by BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Darius Syrossian, Riva Starr, Melé and Catz ‘N Dogz, as well as beloved residents like Defected founder Simon Dunmore, Sam Divine and Monki. Limited tickets for Defected New Year’s Eve available here while Glitterbox New Year’s Day tickets available here.
Jocelyn Brown to do a live PA for Glitterbox New Year’s Day
Then, Glitterbox New Year’s Day affair will keep the party going by bringing soulful and joyous house and disco to the Press Halls, featuring an international line-up composed of Kiddy Smile, Ed Banger mainstays Breakbot & Irfane, while dynamic duo Dirty Channels and house legend Spiller will represent Italy. As always, Glitterbox’s band of performers, drags and club kids will fire things up on the DJ sets of NTS presenter Tarzsa, who will make her Glitterbox debut while Melvo Baptiste will close out the party with ‘Somebody Else’s Guy’ singer Jocelyn Brown to do a live PA.
Introducing Printworks’ Inkwells new dancefloor
Both events will take full advantage of the new space recently launched and called Inkwells, Printworks’ new second room is made of low ceilings, colonnades of beaten concrete pillars and a stripped-back the whole into an industrial aesthetic. This raw and warehouse feel will perfectly matched some underground sounds of Luke Solomon’s Classic Music Company, who will take over the space on NYD, joined by original label co-founder Derrick Carter and techno pioneer Robert Hood and daughter Lyric will play together as Floorplan. Josh Caffé and Homoelectric resident Gina Breeze also join the line-up, as well as rising star Sophie Lloyd, whose breakout record ‘Calling Out’ has become one of Classic’s catalogue staples.
