The Fall/Winter 2024 Fashion Week has seen Parisian fashion house Maison Kitsuné unveiled its first handbag, the “Edie,” with Belgian DJ Charlotte de Witte as its muse. Known for her groundbreaking presence in the electronic music scene, De Witte stars in her first major fashion campaign for Edie, directed by Milo Chiavarino and elegantly captured by photographer Stanislas Motz.
The brand stated :
“For Fall/Winter 2024, Maison Kitsuné announces the debut of its first handbag, the “Edie”: a reflection of both the Parisian elegance and bold energy that defines the brand. The refined minimalism of its compact form makes clear impact, but the iconic Profile Fox silhouette remains centre stage as a gold-finish clasp. The Edie’s adjustable strap allows it to be worn across the body, over the shoulder, or carried by hand. In smooth, matte leather, and a palette of burgundy or black, it becomes a new must-have wardrobe accessory that can be matched with any style."
As an independent Parisian label, Maison Kitsuné channels the cultural and aesthetic synergy between Paris and Tokyo, merging sharp tailoring, streetwear influences, and comfort-centric designs. Since its founding, the brand has expanded globally, with 38 stores across cities like Paris, New York, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, and Los Angeles.
Maison Kitsuné’s music label, Kitsuné Musique, has also made a mark on the industry with its focus on discovering emerging talents. Over the years, it has been home to sought-after artists like Parcels, Two Door Cinema Club, and Digitalism, embodying a diverse sound led by a passion for talent discovery.
In Charlotte de Witte, Maison Kitsuné finds a muse who embodies the minimalist & elegant style of the brand but with enough audacity to bet on the belgium artist, uniting fashion and music in this partnership celebrating their comon creativity and innovation. The bag is now available for sale at €470.00 on Maison Kitsuné's website.
